Shrimp Stir Fry

EASY AND SIMPLE SHRIMP STIR FRY THAT IS ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS.

This shrimp stir fry is loaded with vegetables and incredibly flavorful. It is tossed in an incredible homemade sauce that is both sweet and spicy. Don't worry , the best part is that it is quite simple to make. Most of the ingredients can be found at your local grocery store.

For the sauce: I used low sodium chicken broth , low sodium soy sauce, sweet chili sauce and cornstarch.


Tip 1: You can use fresh vegetables or any frozen blend stir fry mix you prefer. You can also add additional vegetables to the frozen vegetable blend. In my case, I added extra onions and 1 medium size zucchini.


Tip 2: Try to use fresh garlic and ginger, instead of the jarred garlic ginger paste. It will make a huge difference.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR STIR FRY


  1. In a medium size pan or wok heat 1-2 tbsp. of oil and add in your vegetables and garlic, salt, pepper and ground chili powder and stir and cook until vegetables are tinder.

  2. Add in your shrimp and sauce and cook on medium heat for about 6 minutes or until shrimp is cooked and sauce is well combined..

  3. Garnish with green onions, cilantro or sesame seeds.

  4. Serve with rice or noodles and enjoy while hot!

RECIPE:

This recipe serves about 4 people


INGREDIENTS
1-2 tbsp. vegetable oil or any oil of choice
1 lb raw and deveined shrimp
salt and pepper to taste
1 medium onion sliced
1 medium size zucchini cut into cubes or your preference
1 16 oz bag of stir fry blend frozen vegetables or vegatable of choice
1/2 red bell pepper
1/2 yellow bell pepper
2 garlic cloves grated or chopped
1/2 tsp fresh ginger (grated)
1-2 red dried chili (optional)
1 stick of green onion chopped (optional for garnish)
1 tbsp sesame seeds (optional for garnish)
1/4 cup chopped cilantro


Sauce:
1/4 cup low sodium chicken broth
3 tbsp low sodium soy sauce
2 tbsp sweet chili sauce
1 tbsp cornstarch
